DUNE 4.2 Interactive landscape of light by Roosegaarde (by studioroosegaarde)

‘Dune’ is an interactive landscape which reacts on the behavior of people. This hybrid of nature and technology exists out of large amounts of fibers which are brightened according to the sounds and motion of passing visitors.
‘Lotus 7.0’ is a living wall made out of smart foils which fold open in response to human behavior. Walking by ‘Lotus 7.0’, hundreds of aluminium foils unfold themselves organically; generating transparent voids between private and public.
Here physical walls become immaterial, through a poetic morphing of space and people.
